Hey guys

Maybe you remember me posting I couldn't make my L723A Q6600 G0 stable at 3,6Ghz with less than 1,525vcore...

Well the other day I received the Ultra Extreme 120 and lapped it and also did another session of lap for my quad..Then applied the AS5 with the AS procedure..

Couldn't believe me eyes when i saw the prime95 Small FFT's passing the test for 45min !!! at vcore=1,475...Before i couldn't pass it for 10sec...

Temps before with the Typhoon at 3,56Ghz vcore=1,475 :(

Take a look at 3,6Ghz same vcore with the Ultra

I'm happy :D

Glad you got it going mate, I realy dig those beefy huge Thermalrights, they even beat my WC setup ( though NB and GPU is included there )... really a good product but you need to measure first to see if it will fit in ya tower....

Thanks man, I tough many times that was the batch, but wasn't it is clear that it was a temp issue.

Yes there hughe but gives no problems at all mounting them, the base has the best fit ever in my hands...

I love my TRUE.

It's a bit loud at times, but hey I live with it.

The only thing I wish is you had done pre-lap temps with the TRUE. :p: Then we could see what lapping really gets you!

Hey !!

Well fact is that i lapped the quad a month ago and also the Big Typhoon, and the TRUE arrived 3 days ago so i lapped it and also gave the quad a better lap (it was still round in corners)...

Why you say loud ? I found that spinning the fan from 1188RPM to 1720RPM gave me 2C less...So i left it at 1188 (I have an Antec Tri cool LED, 3 positions of speed)

Best regards
Sergio

I have a Cooljag 110 CFM fan on it spinning at 2600 RPMs! :p:

LOL :D

You will make the TRUE fly !!

I think he does :p My G0 is reaching that kinda temp at the same speed, but at only 1.42vcore. I imagine at 1.46 I'd be burning up with my S-Flex..

Mine sits in the low 60s. No lap on the CPU or TRUE. Room is about 25 C.

3.6 GHz / 1.396 vCore (Loaded)

Just for sh*ts and giggles, I too have a L723a Q6600 "G0", if you want to try for more MHz, do 422fsb and use the 9x multi. This will give you 3.8GHz and my chip does this @ 1.40Vcore (1.392 under 100% load) completely stable. Try it, you never know.

You have a good batch then

Mine does the Prime95 stable at 3,6Ghz (450x8) with vcore= 1,475

Woah.. priming?!

Woah.. priming?!

Yep!

Edit: It got a rounding error after 2.5 hours at 3.6 GHz w/ 1.37ish vCore (can't remember off the top of my head). I took it up one more step to 1.396 under load and it's priming right now while I'm at work. I was really hoping to get 3.6 without breaking 1.4 under load. It ran for 45 minutes before I left this morning with no errors. Two of the cores were sitting at 62-63C and the other two were at 59-60C. I'm thinking about lapping it to help even those out.
