Following up on the same build that wouldn't post a couple weeks ago I need your guys' help. I just bought a new Asus 8800GT tonight and was terribly excited to install it. After I did so the computer wouldn't POST. I tried putting the old video card in, same thing. Have the 8800GT in again, and nothing. Please help; I've already checked all the power cables and tried starting with one stick of RAM. HELP!

Specs:

750w PCPC Quad PSU
AMD X2 6000+ CPU
1.5gb generic RAM
250gb 7200rpm SATA HDD
XFX 7600GT/ASUS 8800GT GPU
ASUS M2N4-SLI Mobo

Tried clearing the CMOS with the CMOS jumper. How would I take the battery out, it won't seem to give.

I have no idea how I would get it out. There seems to be a metal mount that's bent over the battery to keep it secure. I also think the soldering to the mobo will snap before the metal bends to my liking. Any other ideas/ways to get the battery out?

Tried the no RAM test suggested in the other thread; turns out my mobo is dead. Or at least I would think so; I heard/saw nothing different once I took the RAM out. When I go in to have the guy take a look at it (place where I got the 8800GT) I'm going to ask for both a new 8800 and a new mobo from him, because I'm pretty sure the mobo was killed by my video card. I always take the utmost precaution in handling my rig. Any other ideas?

I highly doubt you vid card killed your motherboard. If you're sure your board is dead just get it rma'd.
