I recently switched to a LCD monitor. One of the drawbacks is that a lot of wires and cables that were previously hidden by the CRT now had to be rerouted. My desk has some wire-management, but it’s intended more for office environments, not for gaming.
Previously, I had routed the wires under my desk using wire-clips or zip-ties. It did the job, but it’s laborious to modify. Over time, it starts to get messy, as I get lazy. I wanted something that was more flexible.

I’ve used split-loom to clean-up cables in the back of my computer, so I decide to try using it to hang the wires under my desk. You can pick it up a Radio Shack of Home Depot for $4-$5.

Using a stapler, (with 3/8“ staples), I attached the split-loom to the underside of the desk. The split-loom was positioned with the opening positioned roughly horizontally, (like a C), and the staples were driven up into the bottom of the desk about every 3”-4”.

This provides a flexible conduit for routing the wire across the back of the desk and out to the controllers and mouse.
