I just bought this motherboard a few days ago with a new chip in preparation for phenom to arrive. I changed the board I bought due to some other issue and the 2nd board was tested to post at the shop. I didnt attempt to boot as I didnt bring my OS drive there.

now when i got back home, while it could POST, it simply cannot boot at all. the moment it reaches the Windows XP loading screen with all the scrolling bars, it displays a faint image of the Win XP and reboots.

No matter what I do, swop rams from Ballistix 8500 to running stock 667mhz Micron rams, running at optimized defaults and fail-safe settings for both rams, no boot. It managed to run memtest though. I even tried 1 stick of rams, plugging only 1 sata device (both OS drive and cd-drive) and the problem persists.

can anyone help?

Reinstall Windows...
You can boot older copy of OS if you're extremely lucky...
