It is an AT connector that is still used on a variety of ATX boards for auxiliary power.

Its an extra connector used on dual AMD boards

Here ya go twiztdskatr, this is how my volt rails look after a moddin'. Ignore the ugly hot glue....I use the hot glue gun without abandon on certain mods to make sure that if I pull a wire by accident, I wont ground anyting out.

Not to mention, its good for holding things in place...but then again, I use super glue to hold any VRs in place after a mod.

The VR on the left is my 12v, middle is 5v, and right is 3.3v. They are all around +0.5 or so higher than spec.

if it has 6 wires, black-black-black-orange-orange-red, that is actually 3 ground wires, 2 3.3v lines, and a 5v line. i'm not sure what it's called, but it's generally for server boards.

hi,
i also have the same kind of question, i have a enermax 456w active fan psu, well i have connected all the cables but i have this other little cable running out of the psu box.
the end of the cable looks the same as a fan connector, the psu has 2 fans on it so are these for the fans in the psu?

or is this cable for amd systems?
i have an intel system

please help

i've got an enermax PSU, and it used to have one cable to monitor the RPM of the 80mm fan. i ended up taking that fan out and replacing it with a better fan.

so do i need to plug that little connector in?
is that all the connector does?

thanks

if it's the same as my enermax, no you don't need to plug it in.
