No CPU or RAM, Can it still run?

Ha ha, i know you were thinking i was a complete idoit from the title, but i have a very simple question.

i just installed a chiller loop in my computer. i dont yet have my cpu or ram but i want to leak check my system. could i run the computer safely without those components with power connected to the mobo, gpu and all?

or should i just do the trick of shorting out two pins on the atx cable and dissconnect the cpu and gpu?

Er, no. Just get a paperclip and short from any black wire to the green wire. If the PSU is underloaded and shuts off (like my GXS does), connect some HDDs to put a bit of a load on 5V. :)
