Question should my HTT ever be over 1000? Does it hurt performance if it is lower/higher?
Does a lower HTT multiplier with a higher fsb help create a more stable overclock?
which is better:
HTT multiplier = x3@273fbs = 819mhz HTT
or
HTT multiplier = x4@273fbs = 1092mhz HTT
and if my system is failing prime at the HTT=1092 could i solve the failing by lowering the HTT via the multiplier?

In a little more time it than it took you to write this post, you could have tried the lower HT.

Yeah your going to have to lower multiplier, my old A8R32-MVP Deluxe actually went up to 1500 HTT without any stability issues :} that was a good board :], anyway from what I know anything close to 1000 is good, some motherboards can take more then 1000 HTT some have stability problems, it doesn't affect performance according to benchmarks I checked out when i was doing some overclocking..
