Yeah...I know it's no big deal for those who oc with extreme cooling, but I set up my rig on water (see sig) and played around this weekend. I got the quad to 3.7 stable and with a little oc on the Ultra's I got this result:

ORB link: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=3814806 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=3814806)
The ORB is incorrectly reading my quad as a QX 6850...it's actually a QX6700. I am also a bit stuck....can't get the cards any higher...nor can I get the quad to be stable any higher. Gonna set up my cold air induction box this weekend and pipe in some 0c air over the rads and see if that makes a difference.
Anyone got any advice?

what are ur temps atm?

Boot up idle is 32c on the CPU and 38/39c on the Ultra's.
Loaded gets to 43c for the CPU during the CPU tests of 3D Mark 06.
Loaded for the GPU's is about 42c.
If I increase the CPU to even 3.73 it hangs at frame 9 of CPU test 1 in '06. I've tried using different multi's to see if it was a fsb hole on the mb and ran the v-core up to 1.5v but to no avail.

Got RAID? good for some points...

you just need a slightly faster CPU
i did 20K easy with 3.96Ghz on quad and 8800GT cards in SLI 711/999 OC :)

Sry, Philly boy, but not everyone actually benches what's in thier sig. I think you, of all people have covered almost all the bases anyway...
I'm doing the same chase, BTW, posted for hints too, but wasn't gonna just toss up a "subscribed!":

Although I'm not as close are you are.

just sell the CPU on ebay and get a G0 Q6600 and you're done mate  and you'll have spare cash left over too :D

I could sell the CPU...but I want to see if I can reach this goal with what I own. I will play around a bit with memory timings tonight and juice the PCIe buss a bit and see where that gets me.

use LOD :D

use LOD :D
The Ultra's don't seem to benefit from the LOD tweak like cards did in the past. I could get +100 points in '06 with my GTX's...but only +20 or so points with the Ultra's. LOD at +2.5 seems to be the sweet spot for me after testing a few different LOD settings.

just try and hit 3.9ghz and ur there, just set ur VCORE to 1.6 and just bench it, get it, and clock it back down
im trying to hit 10k with my setup. iv maxed out the volts on this board for CPU/MEM, 1.5v 2.7ghz and 2.9v ddr450
im at 9,400, im sure i can squeeze 2.75 out of my CPU, but its not stable, just good enough to bench 3dmark

on intel mobos RAM setup/ frequency and timings make a bit of difference in '06 points so try that too
LOD gains points what level are you using?

LOL...need your pots to make that happen! When we getting together to try the new copper pots?

What is LOD? Do you have a link? I have not heard of it before.

Use 169.xx drivers and adjust the shader clocks to max with rivatuner. The 169 drivers alone at the same clocks should easily net you 20k. ;)

No new copper gpu pots. Just cpu.

there are plenty of references how to use this tweak for benchmarking
i use 3.9 for '06

i use 3.9 for '06I will try 2.5 thru 3.9 to see if any of these settings net me any gains. Had to work late last night so I couldn't bench by the time I got home. I'll try this tonight and post my results.
**gonna buy Crysis tonight on the way home and bench the time demo as well**

How can you manually adjust the shader clocks in rivatuner? I thought they adjusted as a ratio of the core clock. What is max for the shader clocks for the 8800 Ultra? I remember the max on my GTX's was around 2000.
