Memory Expansion
The DX38BT provides 4 DIMM sockets using Dual Channel 240-pin DDR2 with a total capacity of up to 8GB-64bit. You can install DDR3 800/1066/1333MHz Memory.

I hope you have DDR3 memory my friend ;)
Yep. Should all be here Monday.
IS there DDR2 version ?
nope, x38 is made for ddr3, but different manufacturers have made their own ddr2 design.....x38 is a native ddr3 chipset.....thats why its so picky when it comes down to memory.

I cant believe you spent 900 bucks on ram that will be 300 dollars in less then 3-4 months more then likely. OMG, I wish I had the JOB that you have:D Either way, good luck with your new toys.

No.. NO deep pockets I wanted this board with 4gigs of ram. Only problem is it takes DDR3 and these are the only 2x2gb modules so i really didnt have a choice.. And being without a main PC for about 2-3 months made me go a lil nutz
