When I haven't played CSS for a couple months my reaction time (both in-game and in real life) is terrible. Playing CSS has also taught me to trust my instincts: when I know how to do something I don't waste all my time arguing with myself about whether I can do it--I just do it. Gaming has also taught me to use my resources... I use auditory cues when I can't see my enemy, and I use what I know about a particular map to try to figure out my enemy's possible strategies. I'm pretty sure that's critical thinking.
