First on HD3870@843MHz/2286MH, core/mem on stock cooler and default Voltage and HD3850@769MHz/1656MHz, core/mem by stock cooler too

btw. HD3850 can touch 800MHz but only run AM3 :)

my 2900 pro reaches 870mhz that makes me really sad i was gunna replace the pro with a 3870.
on a more positive note is there anyway you could try 3 card crossfire?

HD 3870 putting up decent numbers for mainstream vga card, but I wouldn't
get rid of an 2900XT, if you already have one to replace with an 3800 series card...
Only real difference over 2900 Pro/XT is power consumption, which is significantly less then 2900.

bandwidth is way less on 3870 and 3850 then on 2900 serie !
u still know that there is where the problem is not on pipes or something elles , it al bandwidth limeted !
