Im having problems passing 450 fsb on my blood iron rig. No matter what voltages/ multiplier/ strap settings i use (i have tried various combinations believe me). It just wont boot around 460 anymore. 455 gets me in windows but is not stable. Tried to disable onboard sound - doesn' t help at all. I'm using raid too.

Heres rig spec:

cpu: E6750 (box says L726B118 1.35V max)
cooler: TT Big Typhoon
mb: DFI BLOOD IRON T2RL
ram: Crucial Ballistix PC2-8000 2x1GB @2.2v 5-5-5-15
vid: Asus EN 8800GT
hdd: 2x36GB WD Raptor raid0 + 500GB Samsung
psu: HEC 475W

Please help me out to get this girl higher. After all i have read on blood irons, this shouldn't be the limit should it? And i dont think this is cpu holding me back as i have tried to put it on 6x and increase fsb.

The FSB wall may be processor related and not a board issue.

i second that, sounds very cpu limited

Loosen RAM timings, keep 1:1 divider and lower CPU Multi. If the system still won't boot/POST at 460 your CPU is the bottleneck and not the board/memory etc.

Yeah the last fsb @ which i can boot is 455 even with a cpu multi set to 6x. I guess i have a rather crappy cpu. Probably i will wait for intel 45nm mainstream offering and upgrade to something better then.

Lulz, i upgraded my psu to coolermaster 620m and now i've got to 450fsb (3.6ghz) orthos stable @1.55V. Cool. Turns out the old trusty hec (18a peak on 12v) was not very stable on 12v line under heavy load.

Once again, nice.

I believe tou can lower the vcore a bit.
I don't think you need that much, 1.55V, for 3.6GHz orthos stable.
Mine is 3.71GHz Orthos stable at 1.4500V in Bios.
Try and lower it a bit.;)

will try it out, thanks.
btw, what is the batch nr. of your cpu?

I'm having almost the same problem, but at a lower FSB. ANYTHING over 400FSB, it refuses to boot, won't even POST. You think it's my CPU also?

Probably. You have the low-end cpu with a 800mhz bus. What did you expect? :)
Fsb400 is already an achievement isn't the default at 200? :D
