need suggestions on new cpu/ram/mobo combo

I need to get a new cpu/ram/mobo combo for my dad's computer. I was looking at getting an e6750, 4 gigs of ddr2 (from the little I've read DDR3 is currently not worth it) and going with either a p35 or x38 motherboard (currently looking at the IP-35 pro). It doesn't necessarily need to be the best o/c mobo, I'm just looking for a very good performance to price ratio.

Considering this, what would be a good mobo/ram combo to add to the e6750?

RAM: If getting 4GB, be sure to get a 64-bit OS, as the 32-bit OS's can't recognize all 4GB. But if you are stuck on getting a 32-bit OS, then I's stick with 2GB. I recommend Crucial Ballistix.

Mobo: Abit iP35-Pro looks very good.
