Is anyone willing to make me either a diagram for reverse polarity protection for 5v DC? I would really appreciate it. Just fried 4 servo cards in my CNC mill and don't want that to happen again.

wouldn't that just be a single diode in the line?

I'm chem-E so don't quote me on EE stuff.

well a diode is basically a one way valve for current. It sounds like that's what you want.

you will have to make sure what you get is rated for the current that is going to be going through it.

Okay, I understand what a diode does...I think that would be part of the system, but how do you guarantee that when hooked up improperly, it protects the circuit?
