drive no shot in "my computer?'

Has anyone ever experienced xp not showing a hard drive in my computer? My second hard drive shows find in disk mananager and even shows healthy. Also, believe or no, I can save files through disk manager. However when I go to my computer or try to browse the tree to save something the extra hard drive does not show. ??? wtf???

any suggestions out there?

The only time I have that problem is with extra hdd's formated under linux.
