hi all,

yesterday I installed a vapochill ls on my new computer. Today I wanted to try if the system works, but nothing happens when I push the power button. On the chillcontrol, there is only 1 red led burning. Nothing else. When I plug out the power cable and wait until the motherboard led goes out and i replug it, the system boots automatically (i don't press the power button). The red & blue led on the chillcontrol are burning, but the vapochill doesn't work. So after a few seconds the system shuts down again (overheat protection) and the leds on the chillcontrol are both out. Also, when i just connect the power cable without powering anything on, there is NO text on the vapochill-lcd. I really don't know what to do :( Anyone knows what's wrong here?

Thanks in advance!

This is what I would try first to make sure your cooler is working.
If you noticed on chill control there is a header PW-SW. This is power switch basically. Disconnect the one that goes to motherboard so your computer doesn't start and press power button for about 2 seconds and let go.
See if vapochill fires up. If not, first thing to check would be fuse, next would be to call in to Asetek to see what they think of it.

Did that, the vapo still doesn't fire up. I still find it strange that the lcd doesn't work when i plug in the vapo :(

Have you checked the fuse?

Sounds to me like your ccb (chill control board) is toast. Unfortunately the Asetek support system needs work itself. I would bypass the controller and make sure the compressor functions before wasting any more time.

short pin 7 and 2 on the black power cable to bypass controller..use fine paperclip.

i have posted diagram here some months ago just try and find it

Yup sounds like the CCB is fried, I dealt with that a few times and it's just dumb how the board will randomly up and die. If it's dead I'd suggest switching to a 3rd party controller, there are a few on this forum and prices are equal to what Asetek will charge for just the CCB.
