damn my 8rda+ just died yesterday... the top of the solder iron i used fell on the board, and i couldnt get the tin off... it kinda run under the vdd chip touching 3 pins. i tried to remove it all and i thougt i made it but the board just keeps displaying FF when i start it all the time and doesnt boot... i removed all wbs and extra stuff i could even remove the mosfet block i glued with as3 epoxy on there!!! but i tell ya, it was a terrible work... took me about 5 hours to get the board rma ready! well it looks all new now, i hope the rma people dont take a closer look to the vdd chip or they might see the tin under the chip :(

wish me luck! i hope i get a new board from epox :(
i could really need some luck... i had soooo much bad luck the last days... :(

You will be fine my overclocking brotha!

Not likely they will look under and see a thing...if they do, they need to stop making mobos that are geared and marketed toward the overclocking community in the first place.

Good luck, saaya. :) I'd be totally happy with my old Rev. 1.0, if I could only work up the nerve to do the vdimm mod. ;)

yeah, the v-dimm mod on the 8rda+ is sick! cutting traces and soldering directly on the pcb to get what other boards get you out of the box plain sux... i really wonder why epox didnt come up with higher voltages in the bios. what are 2.2v on the cpu good for if you cant even get 2.9v on the memory?

i think ill get an nf7-s 2.0 ...pm me if you know a better board :toast:
