I've searched the forums but didn't find the answer.
=====================
I've been reading and it seems there is an advantage to using xp64 over xp32. programs runs smoother.

I am wondering if this is also the case between vista32 vs vista64.

Also, in 64-bit Windows, do I always need to use wow64 to run 32-bit app?

thank you very much

why use 32 bit when you can use 64 bit?
one of the biggest advantages is the use of more ram, the 32 bit os limits you to 4 gigs.
32 bit programs (most) will run on a 64bit os...hope this helps you.

All 64-bit versions of Windows Vista can run nearly all 32-bit applications, as WoW64 is integrated. There is no overhead performance loss when running 32-bit applications on 64-bit Vista.

The only reason I can see as to why one would not run at 64-bit OS is if device drivers do not exist for a required device, or if a required program does not run on the 64-bit OS. Both of these are no longer a common problem, either way.
