with my somewhat wimpy Nautalis 500 water system getting a reasonable oc stable on my e6850 at 3800, I was challenged by the amazing scores here, some on air to boost my performance!

I am currently running idle at 30C at 4041 9x449 by adding a water bath system.. I looped my vinal tubbing into a water cooler, about 3 gallon capacity that i filled with ice and a little water. amzing results where last night I was HOT at 3900... will stress test next ..
And while I am not lighting up the sky for those around here, FOR SURE!!!
I am very pleased that forthe cost of some icewater, which seems very efficient as it is still ice getting a serious heat drop.

Thanks again for the examples so many here are setting for modding vdroops cases you name it..

Currently I am.have modded my case and will post oc results when topped off and verified in the appropriate area!
cheers

great job! I have a nautilus running on my opty 165 and it doesnt even flinch. You can replace the existing the radiator (its aluminum) with a regular aftermarket. The Swiftech MCR120 fits in the housing with some 90 degree barbs from mcmaster. Welcome to XS!!

Remember no need to use distilled, the tubes just lie in the tub of ice, small amount of water for contact.. ultimately the experiment failed to give STABLE 4.0 and higher under full dual orthos loads.. I am tweeking withoutthe ice and am stable to 3.9! so close.. next mod will be a radiator or resivior sunk under the ice, in line with my exiting radiator and mabe another pump.. that way I will have a larger volume of coolant in the "cool zone"..
sooner or latter I will get a vapo, gret pricing too at 769NE for the external plug in the wall one! LOL spend more for your cooling than your system, I love it!LOL

FYI thanks again for the warm welcome, no pun intended! I love this place..
So, to recap the ice is OUTSIDE the closed loop system, where the coolant MD-5 runs.
