View Full Version : 9500np BIOS for 3.3nS memory?
I'm currently topping out at 325MHz and thought I remembered reading that there are specific BIOSes for specific memory? But I've checked the few sites I'm familiar with and no luck. :(
I know about all the 9500Pro BIOSes because I had one of those cards for a while but are there also some for the 9500np cards?
Any help would be appreciated. ;)
p.s. Also, what is too much voltage with video memory? I've been benching at 3.2v for a while now without any problems... is 3.3v too much? 3.4v? 3.5v? I have sinks on the memory and a couple fans blowing across them so cooling is at least "good". Just curious. ;)
Hi!
I have 9500@9700 with infineon 3.3ns. With 3.33v I can run @315-317 with blowing fans but without ramsinks.
I tried some bios, but overclock of vram didn't changed.
Which bios are you using now?
Bye!
I haven't changed it yet so it's still the factory one(and I haven't looked into which one it actually is yet). I did just try 3.3v and I'm now up to 331MHz.
I have to admit I was/am really hoping for a "wonder" BIOS that give up to 350ish. :D Is that too much to ask for?
:worship: Pretty, pretty, PRETTY please? :bows:

any results yet? from anyone but jason?
I'm at the end of a 70+hr work week here. :( I plan on doing a little testing Sunday afternoon. If I can't get it done then, I have Tuesday off so I'll probably get it done then.
I'm SOOOOO curious what this BIOS will do for my card... it's almost killing me when I think about it. ;)

that bios didnt help me at all.. when i tried it awhile ago... scores are lower at same clocks as my orig bios... and dont even help OC more
:( Yep... that's what I just found out with my card. :(
Bigger bummer is I'm an idiot... and didn't save the original BIOS my card had. Any body have a Sapphire 9500np BIOS for the 3.3nS Infineon memory? ;)
Strange part is like you said... didn't help me in my speed at all and my scores are a bit lower? I'd at least think I could get a little faster if they retarded the settings. Oh well... just chalk it up to another learning experience.
BTW Mickey, I have not doubt this helped you out I just wasn't as lucky so thanks anyway! :toast:
I'm going to try and re-install the drivers tonight or tomorrow night to see if that helps at all... I don't think it will but you never know. :D
Sure, I'd appreciate it. If after I try the re-install that doesn't work, then I may as well try that BIOS too. ;) Maybe I'll find the "magic" in one of these. :D
