I'm the legal guardian for 2 middle-aged cats - actually belong to my gf but I've been awarded custody. Not sure "awarded" is really the right word though.
Anyway, they're both pretty cute. One cat always looks guilty. I'm sure he's got something going on that I just haven't figured out yet - stupid humans.
The other one is a 14lb calico/tabby who seems to be under the impression that I'm the live-in help - which I guess is more or less accurate. Lately, she's been hanging out in my tv room. That's fine, but most the time I'm on the computer and have the tv on mute so I hear everything. I've noticed before that she snores, but it didn't bother me because she wasn't always around. But now, she's usually curled up a few feet from my head and it sounds like cell phone on vibrate.
I guess I'll get used to it, but by then she'll have staked a claim to another spot - maybe under that pile of clothes I've been meaning to get rid of.
Who else has this problem and what have you done about it?

Mine likes to come by to visit after she's used the litter box. No manners!!
No serious problem with flatulence yet - but thanks for giving me something to look forward to.

My cat snored all the time, sometimes it was so bad she used to wake herself up where it was so loud :D
Poor thing had a bad heart murmur from birth, we had her 12 years, during the last year of her life she couldn't jump onto anything too high so she used to look up and meow as if to say "hey give me a hand"
It also never used to make it to the litter tray fast enough so it used to poo in the corner, she always expected us to get angry, but we got used to it and just cleaned up after her.
We spoiled her rotten by buying it fresh meat everyday because she knew she was ill and we would do everything for her. Clever animals :)

Bailey and Marmalade are both capable of jumping over my head if they want to, but they still make eye contact and meow before jumping up. I have a pretty extreme startle response and I think I've scared the cr@p out of them a few times - just returning the favor though really.

Yep, snores like all hell. Best way to wake him up is to let the dog in the room ;)

My Rottweiller snores. It's not loud or annoying though, kind of cute actually. And I like knowing she's actually asleep instead of just lying there bored out of her mind while i tweak BIOS settings or build sentry guns.
I'm a bad dog owner. :(

I need top read this..:shakes:
Dropped a friend at the airport at 7:45am yesterday..Watching her cat for a week..I did see the thing hiding under my bed at noon yesterday.
That's the last I saw of it and searched the house until my old knees are telling me no more trips on the hardwood floors..
Here Kitty-Kitty..
If she got out a door she's fox food by now..or Fishercat..and she's declawed..It's a nasty world. Once you move 80ft from the house your into NH woods..

Oops. Last FPS game I played was Space Invaders (if that counts) . . . no, wait . . . it might have been Wolfenstein 3D. Now I just play backgammon.

It was impossible to tell which corner or which room she would do it in. We couldn't follow it around with the litter tray at the ready :p:
She basically couldn't hold on anymore and just went in the nearest corner!

Did you find the cat yet?
My sister had a cat that found a way to crawl up inside the box-spring of her bed. He "disappeared" up there for days one time, when she/they moved.
Just a thought.

Dave - i missed that post. I'm sorry to hear about your friends cat. I assume you've tried shaking a can of treats or running the can opener. It's probably just scared. You probably would have noticed if it darted out the door.
Let us know.
