I am going to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

after installing VMware and configuring an XP Pro guest OS, when i try and play albums in Windows media player on my regular machine (without VM open), nothing happens!??!!%:mad: $&%£^*!! :mad:

i can play individual tracks but when i click 'play all' or 'play selection', NADA! :confused:

i re-enabled the autorun feature that VMware disables, but still no dice (although CDs do autorun now).

Anyone seen this before with media player or think of a fix?

I am using VMware for a long time without any problems with Windows Media Player.Can you reinstall windows media player to see if this will fix your problem?

removed VMware. reinstalled XP (upgrade only), reinstalled media player 11.

basically, its like the player doesnt recognise more than one file at a time.

if i select a list or album or subfolder - anything with more than one file - it just does nothing.

i am going to reinstall my entire system from scratch. if that doesnt work, i am going to sue Bill Gates for stress :ROTF: :shakes: :mad:
