hey

i have windows xp pro installed and occasionally i get a blue screen stop 0x00000008 error, (sometimes right when i boot up other times it takes a few hours) it has those memory/crash dumps, but i was wondering if anyone here could take a look at em and point me towards the problem? i have no idea how to read them. ill post em right up if someone is able to help

thanks in advance

i did a quick search and it showed this:

It can be caused by corrupt driver code, but is more likely to be bad ram (or bad CPU, motherboard- anything that causes a bad instruction to get to the cpu).

Download this:
http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols/debuggers/dbg_x86_6.8.4.0.msi

That is the Windows debugger tool.

Set the PC to not restart when it gets a blue screen.
Run the tool and click on view dump file. Go into your C:Windows folder and find minidump. It should be able to view the files.
