No idea on prices yet since the 8800 GT is in the $250-$280 US range I'm assuming this sucker will be in the $300-$400 US range

GD, why do we have to wait til december!?!? I'll play with my gt for a bit, but probabably send it back and prepare for a new gts. I just need to see benches before I make that decision. $300 and some change and I'll definately do it.

If they do release a 1gb version it will most likely out perform the GTX in all cases as the weak point of the 8800 GT is its 512mb when AA and AF are brought into the picture.

I have a 1900 x 1200 monitor on the way and I'm wondering if even 2 gt's sli'd will really be enough. How much do we think the gts's extra shaders and 1gb memory will help with higher resolutions? It seems like 1900 x 1200 is where a lot of the cards are truly tested. If it make sense for me to wait for the 1gb gts, I will.

how will it be named? wont it be confusing to have an 8800gts [320], and another 8800gts[640] and another 8800gts[112 90nm version] and another 8800gts[128 65nm version] :rofl:

if there is a 65nm gts it should be 9800gts imo.....but i have no idea what nvidia's real plans are:lol:

or else have a clearance sale on old 8800gts stocks (EOL?) to pave the way for the new 8800 gts's lol?
