anyone with x1950gt or pro

okay i just ordered an x1950gt to finish off my budget build:

opteron 146 which does about 2.8-2.9 depending on cooling. for now it's stock so probably 2.6ish
1gb mushkin redline since i sold the gskill 2gb, probably decent speed at low latency
x1950gt with zalman vf900, so it'll clock well

anyone know what kind of settings i'd be able to run on games like HL2 and bioshock? i only use 1280x960 as my highest since my monitor is only 60hz any higher.

any insight would be good, thanks.

With a C2D E6550 @ 3.2, 2Gb DDR2 @ 920 5-5-5-15, and an HIS x1950Pro IceQ card I run BioShock at 1680x1050 at the medium slider setting. This nets an average of 35fps, so just playable. Medium looks hardly any different than High on this system. It also plays UT3 with an average of 35-40fps or so. It will probably be right in that range for most of the next-gen Unreal 3 engine games. That is without AA or AF activated in the control panel (they don't work at this time).

Half-Life 2 however, will fly like the wind. It is very easy to run, experiencing no slow down on my old rig with a 3700+ @ 2.3Ghz, 2GB, and an X800XL.
