no the sli rating is merely to show that it is compatible with sli. i think its more a promo thing than a real thing. shouldnt matter to non sli boards. its just painted on the outside sli. no real proof just saying.

its proprietary eep for sli boards and it will work but its not good memory there is much better and cheaper from crucial
