I read that to reset the BIOS, I should set the jumper on Pin 2+3 on CLRTC then take out the battery for 10 minutes.

Why? Not not just press the CLK-CMOS button on the rear IO panel?

Just a guess on your particular board (since I don't own one).On my DFI LP UT P35 if i use the clr cmos jumpers it retains the date, time etc. but puts all settings to default. If I remove the battery and do it , then everything is reset.

I would only do that if your having problems. But first make sure you have the newest BIOS (version 0505)

This is exactly what we want when we clear the BIOS (CMOS); putting everything back to factory defaults. Right?

Other info like date, time are not that important.

I'm guessing that "set the jumper on Pin 2+3 on CLRTC then take out the battery for 10 minutes" is just a more complete reset of the BIOS. Thats my guess.
