I am stuck in Shanghai so sometimes its difficult to get the parts to build my own PC.
But I have found the shop where all the Gamers hang out and they have a limited stock of Mother Boards.
I have a brand new E6750 that says it was boxed on the 10 15 2007 so what is the best mother board.
The shop has GB P35C DS3R or a P35T QD6, Will I need to change my PSU if I go for the P35T QD6?
I just want an OC around 20% so will only be clocking at 3.2GHz
Wife is back on Monday so I need to buy before she returns and see me doing the building work! :D

It is around $120 and much cheaper than the other one. It is rock solid and has very few issues. I would save yourself some money and go with the DS3R.

I have all the bits together and working. Using XP SP2 as the OS as I dont think I will be using Vista for a while. Here is the full spec all in a coolmaster case.
Intel E6750 = 1600rmb
P35C DS3R v1.1 = 1200rmb
2*1GB Gskill 4,4,4,12 PC6400 =750rmb
WD Raptor 160GB 7200rpm = 470rmb
Asus EN 8500 Graphic Card = 600rmb
Huntkey 650w PSU = 550rmb
7.5rmb/1USD
I will not be overclocking it till its done 48 burn in or until all the MS updates have downloaded and been installed, or which ever is the shortest time!
Can someone please post or email me some screen shots of the BIOS on how best to overclock this system to 3.0-3.1Ghz on the standard Intel CPU Fan. I have to wait till wife is away on another trip before I can replace the stock cooler. But a 10-15% O/C should be possible on the stock Fan I think. So I will increase the O/C slowly and watch the CPU temp.

System E6750 now running at 3.00Ghz, done by setting FSB to 375. The CPU runs at 2.25Ghz most of the time and doesnt hit 3.00Ghz until you put some stress on it.
It has auto multi function that sets its self between 6-8 depending on the work load to keep the CPUs cool
This gives the memory FSB at 1500!
Very nice perfomance for the price................ 20 years ago I was working as a student on a CRAY 2 Supper Computer now I have the same performance under my back bedroom desk.
Can anybody give me the fasted speed you can O/C the CPU on a stock Intel heatsink and fan.

I am now running at 3.2Ghz with the FSB set to 400. I am checking the tempurature using Speedfan. I will calibrate the value given in speedfan with the bios cpu reading.
The PC has been running all day at home for several hours so should be at a constant temperature. I will take a reading with speedfan and then restart the PC so as to access the bios in bootup. Then I will check the cpu/mobo temps in Hardware Monitor and compare them with the readings from speedfan.
The difference will be the amount I need to adjust reading by for stress testing.
I will post my results for your information.
BUT THIS IS ONE HELL OF A CPU:yepp:
