Xbx2 + 8gb Ram

Hi guys and gals,

I've got a question regarding 8GB memory on the XBX2... in the manual, it says the mobo supports up to 8GB "using 1 GB technology"... what does that mean?

Can I run 8GB? Has anyone done so?

Pretty sure I ran 8 gig on mine but to be honest I'm not even sure anymore.
