What can be said about this on, is it just a Conroe like all the other?

Get it, it's an Intel product, high quality and performance. Can't beat that.

Best price/performance of any dual core.

easy to get 3.5 (500*7) with less then 1.3v (the two i tested) with asus p35 board. But the core temp is real higher than 6420, although i set 1.25v, the surface temp is 20 while the core is always among 37, no idea. My previous 6420 has surface temp around 28 and core 20 with 1.325v....
no idea no idea...

My 6750 does 3.6ghz with 1.41vcore,which equates to about a 33-35c idle temp with a freezer 7 pro.I have had it benchable at 4ghz too 500x8 with 1.56vcore.
I'll jst be keeping this till the penryns come along,it was cheap too which is a bonus for a 24/7 3.6ghz duel core.
The 6750 is a G0 stepping, which generally run cooler than Bxx stepping.

Not sure whether this is true, at least not the case for me.;)

Most of the E6750s will reach higher than 3.4 and most can do 3.6-3.8 without breaking much of a sweat.
I just picked one up to replace my E6400s. Its a true Conroe and the added L2 will help with some of my sluggish folding production. :p:

My e6750es paired with a thermaltake big typhoon vx idles 35-36 degrees c and hits 58 deg c dual orthos load @ 3.6ghz. This is at 1.43v on an asus p5k vanilla.

early model e6750's sucked at overclocking. hence most people swayed towards 6850 in the beginning. but nowadays, they seem to be doing relatively ok again. not as good as those es batches, but they never are until a while later

Southern California ambients I guess. My ES chip isn't a great one I think as it can't get 3.7 stable at reasonable vcore and barely posts at 3.8...I am tempted to get a later chip like pcuser above but penryn is just around the corner...a wolfdale would be nice...

Apologize for digging up an old thread, but I have the E6750 with a Freezer 7 PRO @ 3.33 and I'm already hitting 36c idle and 58c load 1.34 vcore. What can be my problem? I'm trying to get to 3.6 but don't want to get too hot.

Was just surfing thru ebay and noticed an E0 stepping e6750 chip for sale for $139.99. E0 is nonretail or an engineering sample. Same stepping as mine (no I am not the seller, lol) so probably will do 3.6ghz with 1.45v or less =). For that price normally I would snatch it up but I think I will hold off for a Wolfdale e8400 which at least by the ES chips will do 3.6ghz @ stock volts =).
EDIT: Wow, this guy has 7 E0 chips available at that price...

Hard to get over 3.5? I dont think I have seen one NOT go over 3.5. Currently, I sit at 3.8Ghz 1.45v. 4Ghz I have benched at before. :)
Its holding me over until the Q9450 comes out. :)

hey hey no come on. p4 wasn't all bad. willamette sucked. northwood was great. especially the later ones that o/ced real well. prescott sucked though, but die shrink and multicore was acceptable since it at least o/ced real well.
