What is the safest method to update my Asus P5B Deluxe BIOS to 1216?
By the way has anyone had any good success with overclocking with this BIOS?
Thanks!

Ive been updating my bios since 1101 to 1206 and I dont see much of a difference.
I used the Asus update in windows but some say its not safe.

You should avoid using the OS during a bios update. Use EZ Flash per the following link http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20070215223109668&board_id=1&model=P5B+Deluxe%2fWiFi-AP&page=1&SLanguage=en-us or use a floppy disk with the 'Afudos' utility. That is what I use with no problems.

3 times with my P5WD2-Premium and 3 times with my P5B-Deluxe and 1 time with EZ-Flash.
I'm too lazy to use the EZ-Flash, have to go in the BIOS, hit enter about 45 times....nah!

I think the easiest and safe way to flash Asus bioses are via a usb key...it has worked like a charm for me via the bios update program within the bios itself for the last 3 or 4 mobos I've used.

yup, I use the USB way myself, and never an issue.

I've used EZ Flash a few times now without any problems.
AFudos worked well with boards in the past that didn't use EZ Flash.

I have Bios 1212 installed. If I update to Bios 1216, are the changes that came with Bios 1215 (FSB 1333 support) included. I may upgrade to that bandwidth someday and I do not want to attempt to upgrade twice if it is not necessary.
