9800Pro/5900Ultra

Anyone on here using the 256MB 5900Ultra or is everyone using the 9800 Pro. Or if your using something else post it. Thanks.

Hey Opp thanks for posting. Has the noise problem been solved with the 5900 ultras? Can you give an opinion on the 2 cards without it being a problem? I sold my PNY 4600 ti and am getting a new card. Kinda wanted to try the 256 MB 5900 Ultra but keep hearing about noise, card length, etc. Don't know how much is true. If it's a good card I'd like to try it.

Im running both, and also had a 5800Ultra with the OTES.

The 5900U is quiter than the OTES by far, it has a decent size fan with a .32amp motor. You can hear it through the case.

The 5900U takes up 2 PCI slots still.

The 9800Pro is nice and quiet

another thing to consider is the 5900 ultra will probly not support FSAA for half life2 so if that is going to be one game u plan to buy better go with ATI !!!!!

yeah, but FX will smoke ati in DoomIII and prolly in most of the newer games.
