Hello this is my first post here. I'm thinking of getting a pair of DDR2-800 because I'm planning to upgrade to C2D Wolfdale later. I'm using MSI P35 Neo2-FR mobo. The price for these two pairs are quite close with the Patriot pair a little bit pricier. I found a few reviews on the Team Elite pair and found out that they can hit 500mhz+ with around 2.1V. Timings would be around 5-5-5-15. I can't find any reviews for the Patriot Signature though. If I'm not mistaken, The Elites come with Elpida or Promos chips and Signature comes with Powerchip.

Which one do you guys think is the better pair in terms of performance, overclockability and stability? Please help me with the purchase. Thank you.

Nobody can give any suggestions? Instead of comparing the manufacturer, how about comparing the chips? Between Promos and Powerchip which one is the better one? Please help me because I really don't know which one to go for.

Above is a link I found on Team's 2GB kit. It's in Japanese but I think you guys can understand the numbers. How is the overclocking perfomance ?

Thanks for the reply. I'm buying in Japan so at this price range( around 8000yen), these are the only kit with heat spreaders. Other kits at this price range that doesnt come with heat spreaders are KEIAN(Elpida),Transcend and some not so popular brands. If you guys don't mind pls have a look in the link below for RAM price list(in Japanese).

I think at this price range, it's impossible to get Micron, so between Elpida, Promos and Powerchip which would be the best? Thank you.

ive no experience with powerchip but i have had promos and elpida.i found the promos scaled much better than the elpida.so i would say go for the promos.if you can go to the shop and check out their value stuff(kingston, corsair, crucial)you may be able to find some d9s.
good luck!
