Hi all,

I bought myself a pair of crucial balistix tracer mem to get some nice mem overclock. To my surprise, they almost don't overclock :/ I have a P5K-E/WiFi-AP motherboard and the mems are in the black slots (eva2000 said that the black slots overclock better then the yellow). I'm trying to run @ 1152 Mhz with these timings: 5-5-5-15-3-30-3-3-8 @ 2.3v but this ain't stable  I upped the vmem to 2.4v already but nothing helps. Maybe there is something wrong with the subtimings?

I just want to know what to do to push these mems in terms of Mhz! (timings are not that important to me :) )

*edit*: i removed one of the sticks and with 1 stick I can do 1200 Mhz memtest86+ stable. :/ guess there's a problem with the second one.

Thanks in advance,

Techie

Interesting, I just bought a pair of BL2KIT12864AA1065 (http://crucial.com/store/partspecs.aspx?IMODULE=BL2KIT12864AA1065) which are the same except non-tracer. Wonder if I can push 1200 MHz with them... I'd be happy with 1111 which would be a 3:5 @ 333 MHz on my P5B-Deluxe.

You should try taking that Trfc up a notch, let's say 36....Your secondary latencies are pretty tight for those clocks at 2.3, and your primary latencies are loose. Usually it is the other way around :)

@Monstru - you have these sticks?

No, I have the Ballistix 8500 Non-Tracer kit, which should be pretty similar. Se the "Ballistix 8500 (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=143009&page=13)" thread :)

Did a few changes, also test each stick and itself.

That's cool... I just ordered the same thing yesterday. That thread is HUGE. I'm just curious if I'll be able to this 1,111 MHz with them @ 5-5-5-15? How fast have you gotten yours up to and at what voltage?

Thanx!

That's why I told you to look in that thread, my results are in the last 2 pages :) I have gotten them up to 1200 5-5-5-12 2.1v, 1200 4-4-4-4 2.4v and 1240 4-4-4-4 2.5v. But I am testing them right now on DFI Infinity P965 and some of those boards don't clock higher than 1200 :) Look on the last 2 pages on that thread and you will see detailed results and screenshot with cl 3, cl 4, cl5 and many clocks and volts :)

Can do thanks. I'd be happy to get 5-5-5-12 @ 1200 out of mine... we'll see when they get here next week.
