Hey guys, I read the LCD guide, but it did not answer my question. I have an Sapphire (HDCP) x1950 pro 512mb AGP, and it has a DVI-I connection, and I am purchasing a 24" Westinghouse monitor that requires a DVI to HDMI cable for digital connectivity.
My question is what cable do I need? A DVI-D to HDMI cable or a DVI-I to HDMi cable (which I could not find). I am guessing that I go with the DVI-D to HDMI cable no? Thanks for your help in advance.

DVI-D- Like HDMI without Audio is a pure digital connection
DVI-I- Contains both Analog and Digital information....
You wont find DVI-I to HDMI only digital to HDMI.
Hope this helps.
EDIT: And if possible, try and get DualLink stuff :)

Thanks for the information, and sorry for the delayed response.
So I guess DVI-D to HDMI is what I am getting. I unfortunately do not see Dual Link on newegg.com, which is where I also purchased the monitor from. If possible, would you assist me in picking out a cable from this list:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=+40000001&Configurator=&Subcategory=-1&description=dvi-d+hdmi&Ntk=&srchInDesc=
It is only one page long, and I don't know if the cheap ones are going to perform and last as needed. Thanks again (BTW nice specs, I want to get myself a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme in the future as well).

Its a digital cable. There is no analog information being passed through.
Therefore, a cable is a cable. Don't waste your money on expensive digital cables.

Alright, thats what I figured. So, I guess I'll go with an affordable $9.99 cable. Thanks very much guys you were very helpful.
I am going to go with this cable:

It also is a bit longer than some of the other cables that go for the same price.

Some types of cables (optical audio) have better connectors on the more expensive ones though and actually stick in and dont fall out all the time. So the more expensive ones can be better in design.
But since we are tlaking DVI and HDMI in this case, the DVI always locs in with screws and I have yet to see any kind of locking HDMI so I guess there would be no difference between cheap cables and expensive ones ;) Just saying that in *some* cases, a more expensive cable can be a better choice.
