guys just shifted to a costa rica P4 2.4 and an asus P4c800, i wonder i couldnt get this to boot @ 3.3GHZ. This is so frustating since i already sold my Malay chip which could get to 3.5 @ devault voltage after my IC7's NB got toasted.

My current settings:
258 fsb x 12 = 3.0 GHZ @ 1.52volts
XMS Corsair 3500 (2-5-2-2) @ 2.85 volt
Performace acceleration is at AUTO

Am i hitting the wall at 3.0GHZ? :( can anybody post a nice working combination. thanks.

@namjir: I coudlnt run it at that FSB since my RAM is crappy as well as i couldnt increase my CPU clock due to a crappy Costa Rica chip.thanks for the help anyway, i did set my bios at the combinations you posted.

@twiztdskatr: youre right, i did get a crappy CPU. i shouldnt have sold that Malay chip of mine. thanks.

Welcome to xtreme forums ferdz !!!!! :)

First you should run the XMS at 2-3-2-5 (cas to ras being 3)
Burst length of 8

See if that doesnt' help, also don't be afraid of 1.6-1.65v Vcore you should be fine even with air cooling.

i'll give it a try MS. im actually on watercooling (innovatek), maybe a lil voltage will help me get to 3.2 HOPEFULLY. thanks guys.

@Netto & Gabbax: i just learned from another thread that its the Malay chip thats most likely consistent when it comes to overclocking at 1000mhz using def volt. i should have known better, just sold my Malay chip just to get this crappy Costa Rica.Darn!
