Sorry if this is in the wrong section but is there any advantage in running RAM faster than the FSB? i.e. my striker is set to 400mhz FSB 1600 effective is there a gain in running the RAM over 800MHZ say 1000Mhz as opposed to in synch? I have read that this is chipset dependant i.e. how the dividers work! Still a bit confused and look forward to your theories :)

The total performace increases by maybe 1-5%. In some situations more, in some less, but the cpu clock is more important.
