what programs? I tried ntune, but it doesn't save my profiles correctly or default to them on startup, so I'm looking for something a bit better.

actually you can use nTune, but you just have to save your settings under Adjust Custom Rules :)

Hi,
Why donīt you try a bios mod:) . I donīt
trust all these oc programs. Sometimes
they hang or stop working i the middle
of a game. Mod your original bios and
flash it with NVflash. Read it out with
Nibitor. Here is a link on how to do it
yourself. http://www.mvktech.net/content/view/15/37/
I hope this will be of help to you:up: .

1860 is DDR2, he probably just wrote it as that, he is running 930 most likely.

Yes, it does and seems to work great... current stable version is .26, with .27 in beta.

I'm always using RivaTuner. Therewith Unwinder (RivaTuner's creator) provide technical support (at least in our russian overclockers hub). But i've personally never experienced technical problems with RivaTuner.
EDIT: and i use RivaTuner not only for overclocking NVIDIA videocards.
ATI cards are also easier to be overclocked by RivaTuner.

Hi,
930 *2=1860;) the nibitor work mainly under XP.
Meanwhile i can send my modded bios for my Evga 8800 320mb: 320 bit superclocked if someone needs it. I got a stable 702 core clock with mem still at 930, but the temp was outrageous. stock fan. Meanwhilke the shaderclock moves up automatically when the core is OCed . Currently my is by 1512mhz shaderclock. Moreover itīs easy to flash the 8800s:up:

I think I'm going to get rivatuner. I was having trouble with lockups and stuff, and I discovered that nTune set my baseline profile as an overclock that is unstable with a 1:1 memory divider, and doesn't have an option to change it. So while 240fsb works with this chip, ntune sets it 1:1 and the memory is not amused. I want ntune to leave my processor and memory entirely alone, and it's not willing to do that. My comp was locking up every hour or so, and I pulled up cpu-z after I had set the memory dividers and found out that the ddr was also at 240. No wonder. I was starting to think the chip/mobo sucked, I'm glad I figured that out.

Guys, here's a great guide that actually works, you can see my clocks in my sig below.
I flashed my bios once I was stable.
