Pentium 4 2.4C

This is my first o/c with a pentium chip and I must say it's been a good experience so far.

It's amazing that you can acheive almost a 1 ghz o/c without raising the vcore a HUGE amount... with amd, you have raise the vcore almost .3 volts just to get a 1 ghz if you were lucky...

3.3 ghz (12 x 275) @ 1.55 volts or 1.5 actual according to hardware monitor ; load temps do not exceed 53C's

this is all on a Abit IC7

I have ram that craps out around 218 mhz so I'm currently using the 3:2 divider just to see how high I can get...

I plan on upgrading either to the ocz pc3500EL 2x256 dual channel kit of the geil pc3500 dragon 2x256 dual channel kit

oh it's not air it's water :O

but still!!!

now at 3.4 ghz (12 x 285) @ 1.575 (1.52-1.54 actual)

testing 3.5 ghz (12 x 292) @ 1.65 (1.6 actual)

been running almost 5 hours of 2 x prime95 and so far so good...
temps don't exceed 54C's so i'm happy about that! :)

Try for 3.6, 300 fsb

12 x 292 = 3.5 ghz passed at 1.65 volts (1.6 actual)

12 x 300 = 3.6 ghz loads windows at 1.65 volts... benches at 1.65 volts but fails 2 x prime95 within 15 minutes...

how many people are running their 2.4 - 3.2C 800 fsb HT enabled processors at or above 1.7 volts on an abit ic7 (i know this board undervolts) or a different board?

I would try to play a game or two or run some Windows Apps. Prime95 is a little off with the new p4's I've noticed

I couldn't help with wether or not 1.7v is safe or not, but I do know my friend can't run prime over like 240fsb for some reason. He has never had a crash with his ic7+2.4c, and he has been running at 275 fsb for the last 2 weeks. Prime still refuses to run, it just crashes after like 2 minutes...I think it just fails prime just to annoye us. Prime means nothing, but it is realy annoying that it crashes :(
