Nice list. I'll keep track of this as well to fill up my DDR3 RAM List. You should check it out for more D9GTR based memory.

I need some more info on the Kreton and TeamGroup though, if you have it. :)

Um:confused: no:rolleyes:
You should be able to buy sticks of ram with D9GTR in Singapore, just plain sticks (no frills). A seller on ebay(from Singapore)that I know was willing to send me D9GMH for cheap back in the day, I'm willing to bet that they can get GTR if I ask them.
I believe thats what the big companies like OCZ & Corsair do this but at bulk. And when the ram arrives at their depot they then put their silly OTT heatspreaders on them, then change the spd, and put in fancy packaging and sell them on to idiots for a huge profit.

Zanzabar, what/where is SJ?

AFAIK, OCZ and a lot of the other enthusiast companies buy the chips themselves and the PCB's separately and match them on their end.

Corsair, at least used to get all his sticks from A-DATA, just changed the SPD and made them fancy. Other companies have done the same.

Not sure what the current most popular method is for memory companies.

san jose CA, micron has a manufacturing room in their headquarters were the high end chips are made, i went down there to try and get memory from wintec (they are down the street and get from them and other companies that make dimms) and they went on on how d9 chips were hard to get since micron moved their main ddr2 manufacturing to asia and the yields were low so there is a shortage so wintec couldent get any micron that wasnt going to 800mhz fully buffered kits

i know that micron manufactures thier not so sure on the shortage part but its believable

Those used to have D9GTR and other D9xxx, but the more recent ones have Samsung HCF0.

Is GTR much better than GTS?
There's not much of a difference between the two, aside from the binning process.

Does anyone know where you can buy bare 2Gb modules of D9GTS/R?

This is the ram I wanted, but couldnt find it anywhere with just bare chips so got my D9JNMs instead. I wont bother upgrading though, particularly since I got a wonky screw stuck on one of my thermalright ram sinks and cant get it off my ram again, so it is stuck on there forever, oooops!
Or I could just sell the current sticks with the ramsinks attached and buy some bare D9GTR.
