Am I missing something? or does the onboard Marvell NIC not support 1000mbps? I cannot find where to set it, only things available are 10/100mpbs full and half duplex. Before I was using an Intel Pro1000PT Gigabit and it worked with 1000mbps perfectly, now with this onboard its advertised as a gigabit, but it does not run at a gigabit, it also alows me to set "auto sense" is that the only way it will detect 1000mbps?
Thanks in advance.

Problem resolved, a quick lookover of the product spec sheets revealed that the LED indicators on back tell the current speed, and I guess green means 1000mbps.

I would still be concerned that the driver is not showing "Local Area Network Connection connected at 1.0Gbps"
Try turn of auto on the switch and forcing it to 1.0Gbps.
Also try running some network benches to test performance .

It's fairly common in the gigabit world to drop forced 1000, as auto-negotiation is mandatory and preferred.
I've personally found no reason to have a force 1000, but I guess if you have negotiation trouble, it might be something you'd want to try. Seeing that the OP is not having negotiation trouble now, it's working as intended.
