Anyone knows what are the system and internet traffic requirements for Team Fortress 2, CoD4 and UT3 for let's say 20 players?

Just the thread I needed! I too would also like to know the system requirements for those games, plus one other, Battlefield 2

I don't mean to thread hi-jack, but it would be rather pointless to start another thread seeking the same information.

Thankyou for anybodies help in advance :)

No probs there Logic :D

All comments on single topic should be in one thread. Hopefully CTX guys can give us this info and perhaps some additional :)

I know ours run on a dual woodcrest rig hosted in Chitown. We run the Stalker and BF2 SF off it IIRC. Not sure on bandwidth or that but I do know the rig. Hope SGT.Viper comes into this thread. He is the big cheese :D

Your data usage really depends on what game your hosting and how the netcode is for that game. Generally the larger the game (in terms of funding/publisher/fan base) the better the host net code and support.

So UT4/COD4 should be at 5mbps max for a 20 man. When Stalker was released the netcode provided was ablosutly terrible and anything over a 14 man was always laggy and using 8mbps however, over time it improved.
TF2 will be your most efficient game to host as the Source engine has been around for years now and perfected over time with CS:Source/HL:DM.

Bandwith is the biggest thing on server side. Yaddam said it rite. I would have to play the game to see how much it uses. Depends on the game.
