hi, iam new here. And i want to buy a new CPU + motherboard. I also wanna to overclock it. (not to far).
But i dont know wich CPU i want, INTEL or AMD? :(
depends how much you want to pay for it.
We need a budget of how much you want to pay.
Side note Intel chips are better overclockers and better Performance per clock.
When I say Performance per clock, I mean That if an Intel and AMD processors were at the same Frequency Intel's current chips mop the floor with AMD ones.
AMD used to have better performance... but now that has changed.

don't even bother with amd, scores are much lower.
Get an intel, you will be much happier in the end.
E series or quad series in a heartbeat

The Intel will go much farther in overclocking, easily... and performance wise, you'll get a win-win situation with the Core 2 Duo's

Indeed, good choice. The P35 board will let you upgrade to Penryn when it is released, if you feel the need.
The E6750 is probably the best affordable Core 2 Duo at this time, and the GIGABYTE P35 boards all seem to overclock decently.
