Hi, I just bought a new Pioneer drive, my old 108 drive died on me last week. After installing and updating the firmware to 1.22, I proceed to make a data DVD, it finishes verifying perfectly, I even verified it using nero cd/dvd speed tool. when i tried to copy all the files to a folder in the hard drive when it was almost at 50% it said it could not copy the file specified because the path was not found, when I check My computer the drive was not listed, I checked Device manager and it wasn't there either. I can see the drive is getting power because I can eject the dvd and place another one in.
any pointers?
thanks!

I could mean that it has problems with another drive.
I have to use my 112 as "Slave" with my Plextor Premium so that both work properly together, maybe because of the ATA-66 transfer the Pioneer has.

could also be a power issue, check the connections make sure they're solid. if you have a 'iffy' connection point it may drop current down enough to cause it to drop. I see this more so with crappy/cheapo SATA connectors but could be an issue.
Also as was mentioned before check your firmware as well.
