Hey Everybody
Currently, i have my setup as so:
PC outfitted w/ eVga 7800GTX 256mb GPU
XBOX 360 --> Toslink digital cable --> Logitech Z-5500
In the next few weeks, i'm buying the Mitsubishi HC1500 DLP Projector and I need tips on how to connect everything so 5.1 sound runs off ALL the components (PC, 360, Projector)
Also, I need to connect my PC to the Projector so i can run images from the PC to the Projector.
Mitsubishi HC1500 Specs:
EDTV/480p: Yes
SDTV/480i: Yes
Component Video: Yes
Video: Yes
Digital Input: HDMI (HDCP)
Personal Computers: Yes
I'm wondering what I need to buy to bring all these together, safely, and for the best sound and picture. If anyone has any tutorials, that would be usefull as well
Thanks guys

Best way? Buy a really nice receiver and connect all your stuff to that, then have your sound come out of the receiver into your 5.1 system and have the video come out of the HDMI on the receiver and go to your projector.
You can use the digital out of your Xbox and computer into the receiver for really great quality sound and keep the 5.1 encoding that way.
And you can come out of your Xbox and computer with HDMI and go into the reciver so you get the best video quality (assuming you have a 360 Elite). If you dont have an elite version, you can always use component video connection out of your xbox and comp into the reciver, then out of the receiver into the projector. Most graphics cards can use component outs for a monitor.
With this setup you can also hook up your DVD player to the setup through digital audio and component or HDMI and then you can use a single remote to control all video and audio while still mainining the highest quality for everything. This is actually how I have my system set up, minus the Xbox 360 and plus a TV :P

Pioneer Elite VSX-80TXV :D Buy it for much cheaper and still brand new off of ebay. I got mine for like $440 after shipping.
Here, same guy I bought mine from:

That receiver will allow you to do basically what ever you want and is very easy to set up. You can even use pre-out on all channels if you want to eventually upgrade to a real system with external amplifiers that driver massive speakers, but only crazy people like myself do that ;) The only problem with this receiver is that if you require MORE than 2 HDMI inputs, you will need to step up to a higher model. Each model higher than this one has an additional HDMI input. But if you use high-def component video in from your comp and xbox then you dont have to worry about anything.
I will try to explain it a little more carefully:
Your Xbox 360 has high-def component video cables and an optical digital audio output.
Connect the 360's digital audio to a receiver
Connect the 360's component cables to the receiver
Use a DVI to component video adapter to run component cables out of your graphics card for your computer, into the receiver
Use the digital out of your sound card for your computer and run that into your receiver.
Connect your DVD player's component video output to the receiver
Connect your DVD player's digital audio out[put to the receiver
On the receiver, set which video input corresponds to which audio input to match up the audio and video for your devices (360 and comp)
Connect the receiver to your projector
Connect your 5.1 speakers to the receiver.
