My friend has been going nuts with her crappy USB dongle type Wireless adapter and I decided to get her a somewhat inexpensive internal PCI wireless G adapter, preferably one with a good antenna and good range. I'm not too familiar with wireless cards because everything I own is wired. I've always been a fan of Linksys and Netgear routers and it seems that most all of their wireless G cards are $50+ and don't seem to have the greatest reviews on Newegg.

So i decided to sort the products by highest rating by consumers and came across this very cheap (only $21.99) card which has a 94cm antenna which can be placed pretty much anywhere she would need. And at 300+ reviews, over 72% gave it 5 stars.

The brand really scared me since I have never heard of it in my 15+ years of building computers.

Tell me what you think.... or if you have any other cards i should consider.

Thanks!

go with netgear, they dont force u to use their proprietary trash in windows and support vista, while being mid tear in price

How about this $39 netgear.

Looks decent. (btw.... is it netgear who offers high gain antennas?)
