Excuse this post if this has already been answered somewhere. I have tried searching, but have found nothing really.

I am looking for a fan controller that will be able to safetly run 3 Yate Loon medium speed fans (http://www.petrastechshop.com/12yalod1cafa1.html)on one channel.

So far the controller that I have found that can handle the most power on one channel is the Sunbeam Rheobus, but not sure if it could handle 3 of those fans at top speed;

This is for a watercooling setup, so I would really like to keep each radiator (each with 3 fans) on a single channel for ease of use.

Thanks in advance.

^Awesome. Good to know that you have no troubles running the 3 fans on one channel. I guess, even if running 3 fans does fry the controller with too much power going through one channel, it wouldn't be a huge loss with it only costing $16..
thanks

ya the rheobus can actually handle 4 120mm fans for me on one channel :)

Good to know that there is some head room with the rated current per channel.

A Yate Loon D12SH draws .3A @ 12v = 4W/fan so you could in theory run 5 yates on a single channel of the sunbeam rheobus without a problem.
BTW really nice paintjob on the yates clone, just finished painting 5 blue myself yesterday. Also out of curiosity how did you wire the fans under the heatshrink, just twisted wires or soldered? Not sure I sould bother soldering if twisting would work equally well.

Hmm, oops. Not sure how I could mess up such simple math, calculating how many fans it could run, but I did. lol :toast:

Thanks for that clarification.

I would say go with soldering. Less chance of a bad connection happening.
