Won an auction for an XFX nForce 680iLT mobo off of ebay today. I Note that the stock NB cooler is ment to be kinda loud and was wondering if I could use the Evercool there instead as I have heard it mentioned many many times for NB cooling over the years .. and just did a search here and found some threads on useing em for boath the NB and SB on reference style EVGA 680i mobos so im guessing it should work on the LT reference style boards to ?

Hmm
Anyone know for sure that the Evercool will work and do a good job on boath the NB and SB .. or recomend other air options other then the stock cooling that are known to work ? .. someone must know here heh.
It fits on the evga 680i so I assume it'll fit ok on the 650. You can turn the stock fan down in the bios however, at 50% it's pretty quiet.

This is a 680i LT not a 650i ..
I somewhat assume that the LT is the same physicaly as the non LT chipset boath NB and SB wise, figured id ask here to make sure though.
I will be useing the stock cooling to see how it fairs however, looking at the Antec P182 case wise for the rebuild so hopefully the dampening inherent in that cases side panels will help deal with the noise from the chipset and the planed SLI'ed 8800GTS's. Gonna be trasplanting my existing CPU(ES C2D 6600),CPU Cooler(Scythe Mine),Mem(Mushkin 6400 2GB Kit),Optical,HD and Sound(X-Fi) into the new setup.
