Ok, here's the deal, right now I'm running a Q6600 at 3.2ghz, stock voltage, watercooled, so temps are low, around 50c max load.

Anyways, I can run and pass OCCT tests, run Prime until I'm sick of seeing the screen, whatever, doesn't matter. 3D Mark, etc.

All good.

But... when I load up SuperPi, it crashes, running the 1meg test, it always crashes right after the first reported time, two seconds in or whatever.

I am running Vista 64 if that makes any difference.

Does it mean I'm not stable? Driver conflict? Vista?

Got me confused.

How many instances of SuperPi are you running?

Drag the "Now start to calculate" window to the top right corner of the screen (so that part of it disappears off the screen) and then click OK or hit enter... it works

ROFL!!!

That is nuts... so I dragged about half the box off the screen and now it works perfectly.

Nuts.... anyways, time to tweak, 16 seconds... not bad, not great, I can do better.

Thanks for the tip.

When I found out about it I was pretty amazed too. It must be something to do with the way SuperPi uses the themes service or something.

There's always reason to tweak

No worries

Yeah, come to think of it, before I enabled "Aero" or whatever it's called, it worked.

So maybe it's the transparent windows or something.

At first I figured, "unstable". But after passing all the OCCT tests I could toss it's way I thought... "WTF?"

Anyways, thanks agian.
