View Full Version : Gigabyte 965 S3, dividers?

I have bought a Gigabyte S3 board and i should recieve it in a couple of days, but i was just thinking about what kind of memory dividers there are avaliable in BIOS.

My rams can only go up to ~350 mhz, but my e6600 can probably handle a bit above 3.6 ghz (400x9). So 1:1 is not an option, but will it work if i set some kind of dividier to the rams?.. It would be nice if i could run the cpu at around 3.6ghz without having to upgrade... :up:

Unfortunately there is no divider less than 1:1. It's a limitation of the P965 chipset.

Oh i see.. Hm i hope my mems go a bit higher if i push them with higher voltage and change some timings but i dont think so.
